Honor in War update

Honor in War (2003 winner of the Grade I Woodford Reserve Turf Classic on Derby Day and now in Australia) ran in Saturday’s Group 1 Emirates Stakes (1610m or One Mile) at Flemington. He had previously been held out of the Cox Plate after failing a precautionary test for steroids. With the drug fully out of his system Honor in War (30-1) failed to threaten and finished 14th of 16 horses. Jockey Steven Arnold said that Honor in War received several checks and his run should be forgotten. Divine Madonna won the race.
