The Texas Mile

Wood Memorial winner and Belmont Stakes favorite Bob And John returns to the track on Saturday in the Grade III Texas Mile at Lone Star. Hopefully he will pound this lightweight field and stamp himself as a contender in what is currently a weak handicap division. I will bet the mortgage on him if he is anywhere near his morning line of 6/5.

Texas Mile Past Performances

The six horse field contains hapless maiden Remachi Six, 0-4 and beaten by a combined 95 lengths. He beat one horse last time out in a $10k Md claimer and now is stepping up to Grade III company. Optimistically the comments in the brisnet past performances point out that he "may improve with Lasix today" and "longer distance offers hope for improvement".

My co-worker Nathan is headed up to the Belmont Stakes, because he is a recent transplant to DC from LA, and his brother-in-law lives in the neighborhood on Long Island. Nathan is casual gambler. Will you post tips for the belmont stakes?
