A fictitious stab at the Super High Five
With $866k carryover in the super high five at Churchill Downs, I've got to at least pretend to make a stab. Pretend stabs on the super high five take much less effort than Pick Six carryovers -- only one race to handicap. So here is what I came up with in five minutes.
My key horses are 4 Unbridled Spring and 5 Hallowed Flag
Unbridled Spring is coming off a claim for Michael Maker and Ken and Sarah Ramsey. He has spent much of the past two years on the shelf with only three starts since June 2006. When healthy he is a fast horse. He is dropping in class from $10k claimers to $5k claimers but the Ramsey's will show a profit if he wins and is claimed. Maker plays the claiming game aggressively and I am banking on this horse being ready to run.
Hallowed Flag has bounced from barn to barn and if healthy he should dominate this race. His last two races were against better and he faded late in each effort. This is his third start of this form cycle and I expect him to wake up.
So I'm keying two ouchy horses
