Here is some historical data.

Year Volume Track
2008 ? Santa Anita
2007 $2,804 Monmouth
2006 $2,954 Churchill
2005 $2,144 Belmont
2004 $1,830 Lone Star
2003 $1,146 Santa Anita
2002 $732 Arlington

I have made it clear that I object to running championship races on all-weather surfaces. However, I doubt I'll be able to boycott what is the most fun and challenging day of handicapping each year. That being said I am not doing my betting syndicate this year and will not resurrect it until 2010 when the BC comes to Churchill Downs. More than likely I'll set aside $300 and take wild stabs.
