Yes by West
Truxton Stables has doubled in size! We claimed Yes by West in the 4th race at Churchill Downs today for $15,000. She finished a disappointing 6th place to run her career record to 7-1-0-1 with $28,688 in earnings. She broke her maiden in her debut at Churchill Downs as a 2yo and her career has been downhill ever since. Hopefully we can turn things around. We will ship her to Philadelphia Park to run for their slot infused purses. A $15,000 claiming race for non-winners of two lifetime carries a purse of $23k at Philly Park as compared to $15k at Churchill Downs.
We bought Yes by West to race but she has an interesting pedigree. She is by Yes It's True (Bold Ruler line) out of the Play Fellow mare Western Cowgirl. Play Fellow won a handful of Grade I races despite being obscurely bred. Yes by West is inbred 3x3 to Clever Trick and devoid of Mr. Prospector and Northern Dancer.
