RIP - Yes by West
Yes by West finished a game second losing by a head to longshot Patton's Passion. Just past the wire she broke down and had to be destroyed. She was 10 1-1-1 earning $34,938 for her career.
I guess I always knew in the back of my mind this could happen but you never think about it. I was in great spirits after the race and was watching the replay when I got the call from my trainer. This is a tough game.

Yes by West was the horse I made my biggest score ever before you owned her. She will forever live in my heart. Almost seems cruel how the cards get dealt some times.

I'm so sorry to hear about this...

So sorry about Yes by West. I've been playing horses for 35 years and owning them in partnerships for a decade. The best horse I owned, Tap the Admiral, won a graded stakes race in Kentucky, then became ill with an ultimately fatal colitis X a few months later. You have my sincere sympathy.
