Insight from Prof. Trackman
Got this letter in the mail from Prof. Trackman along with the past performances from the 4th race at Hawthorne on March 6th.
Ok Boys and Girls ... class is in session so pay attention. Look at the 3 horse (Tatum Girl). I hit this race at 19-1 as I saw a pattern in the 3 that I am seeing more and more. A horse does good on the dirt last time on the dirt ... goes to the turf and then the poly and darkens it record ... and then comes back to the dirt where they have done well in the past, at the Fairgrounds no less. For some reason the betting public puts stock in what the poly means and they leave these horses alone at juicy prices.
The poly to me is the ruin of horse racing. But there are opportunities in every tragedy
